1 - General Definition

The ability of Nucleon EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) to provide insight into the RAM and CPU consumption of an IT estate can vary depending on the specific software version and features enabled. In general, the Nucleon EDR solution focuses more on security, threat detection and incident response than on monitoring system resources.

However, Nucleon EDR can provide information on the use of system resources to help identify suspicious behaviour or abnormal activity that may be indicative of a threat. This information can include data on RAM and CPU consumption at endpoint level (workstations, servers, etc.).

2 - Capacity tab

Agents collect metrics from each running process in order to detect abnormal resource usage. These statistics can be used to detect crypto miners (programmes seeking to use the machine to generate crypto-currency).

  1. To get an overview of RAM & CPU consumption in your fleet, navigate to the Capacity tab.
  2. You can then view the programs that consume the most RAM & CPU
