Installing the Nucleon Agent on Linux Endpoint

RPM Package1 - Procedure for installing Nucleon agents on Linux


1.1 - Technical requirements


    Agent installation is supported by the following Linux versions:


  • Debian 9+
  • Ubuntu 15.04+
  • Centos v8+
  • Redhat enterprise v8+

    

1.2 - At the Nucleon console level

    

 In order to initiate the installation of the agent, this phase allows you to retrieve the installation package from the Nucleon console in order to proceed with the installation at Linux level.

  1. Connect to the Nucleon console and select your entity,
  2. Click on the Endpoint tab:

  3. Click on New Endpoint and choose Linux Endpoint:



1.3 - At Endpoint level 

   

  

  After retrieving the package from the console, you need to go to the endpoint.


Download the installation package using the command below:

  • DEB Package




  • RPM Package


Install the package using the command below:

  • DEB Package:

  • RPM Package (yum install or rpm-i to install the nucleon package):


Configure the endpoint with the following command:




Check the status of the nucleon service



    

The agent then appears on the Nucleon console at Overview --> Online Endpoint level:
