Installing Nucleon Agent on MacOS Endpoint

1 - Procedure for installing the Nucleon agent on MacOS


1.1 - Technical requirements


    Agent installation is supported by the following MacOS versions:


  • M2/M1
  • INTEL


1.2 - At the Nucleon console level


This phase allows you to retrieve the ZIP file from the Nucleon console in order to proceed with the installation at MacOS level. The installation can only be done via the lines command (Terminal) with a user who has sudo authorisation.

  • Connect to the Nucleon console and choose your entity,
  • Click on the Endpoint tab:




  • Click on New Endpoint:


  • Copy the MSI according to your MacOS version,
  • Command line options: 
  1. SERVERS: list of servers to contact separated by ";" (it is useful to have several addresses/domain names filled in if the server address is different between local and from the Internet),
  2. SSLCHECK: SSL certificate verification; this option should be disabled if self-signed certificates are used.
  3. KEY: identifier of the entity where the agent is to be associated.


1.3- At Endpoint level 



    After downloading the ZIP from the console, go to the endpoint.

  • Launch the terminal, then paste the command to unzip the ZIP file:



Then chmod the install.sh script and run it (choose y).

Check the Nucleon icon if it exists in the icons at the top:

Once the Nucleon icon appears, click on it twice.


The agent installation is complete with an Online status
